Nearest beautiful beach from Ernakulam city

Puthuvype beach and Vypin Lighthouse are wonderful places to visit when you are at Ernakulam. If you are walking through the Marine drive walkway , just 3kms from there you can reach Puthuvype beach. You can go down the waters and tides are usually calm. This makes the beach enjoyable with family or friends . Near the beach there is a light house open till 6pm which have the height of a four storied building. From the top of the tower the areal view of Kochi is Magnificent. Vypin- Fort Kochi Ro-Ro Ferry Service, Kochi

Cochin islands are mostly connected by boats and travelling through the waters is most enjoyable thing you can do as you land Cochin. Vypin belonging to Ernakulam area of Cochin which is easily connected to Fort Kochi (called Kochi) through a 5 min ferry service so that you can save the road travel of more than 10 km which will take more than a hour. At Fort Kochi there is lot of artistic as well as monumental symphonies waiting you. The ferry service will beginning early morning 6 to 9:30 pm in the night. The 3.5 crore worth ferry vehicle can carry 18 cars and 50 people in a single go. For people outside Cochin it will be a great experience. Cave Temple at Kottukal : An architectural extravagance

At Kollam , south of Kerala , India you can find a 6th century cave temple. One among the 7 cave temples of Kerala at a small village called Kottukal, just 40 km from Kollam city accessible by the public transport. If you coming from Kollam. Step down at Ayur and take a bus to Kottukal via Manjapara. Then we can walk along or get an auto rickshaw for a km to reach the temple. Walking through the small road in between paddy and agricultural lands will be more interesting path to reach the temple. Temple was believed to be built by the king who ruled Chadayamangalam. Temple is cut in a single rock with 2 caves, a bigger one and a smaller one. Lord Shiva is the diety here. You need to reach early morning eight or evening five so as to enter the temple. Other timings the temple will be closed. There are several renovations going on by the archaeological department of Kerala. This may develop this into a more well known tourist spot .
